Today we're happy to be welcoming Rhiannon Baxendell to the team. Rhiannon is based in East Yorkshire and as Heritage Lead for Yorkshire and the East Midlands, she will be working on a variety of heritage and consultancy projects.
Rhiannon has been involved in the heritage sector for several years and has worked as a heritage consultant on a variety of schemes throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands. She has a background in facilities management and has worked with Historic England as a Project Coordinator with their Grants for Programmes of Major Works and Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk fund teams. During this time, she achieved an IHBC accredited masters in historic building conservation from the University of York.
Before working with Historic England, she volunteered with the Council for British Archaeology as a Caseworker, uploading planning application information to the CBA database to be reviewed and commented on by amenity societies. This role then progressed to analysing and commenting on planning applications on behalf of the CBA. She has a passion for heritage, with a soft spot for Georgian and Victorian vernacular architecture.
If you're looking to progress a project in Rhiannon's area, check out our contacts page and get in touch.
