The Government announced on the 8th September 2020 the new Affordable Homes Programme including changes to the shared ownership scheme.

Currently the minimum share to purchase on the scheme is 25% however from 2021 this is going to reduce to 10% and should someone wish to staircase (buy more shares in their home) then they can do this in 1% increases but this was previously only possible with 10% increases

This would not appear to be impacting re-sale shared ownerships but will apply to New Build Shared Ownerships that are sold.
